Howl of a Dog says she recovered, became playful despite being shy in unfamiliar situations, and was adopted.
Who was the dog found in the garage yard?
She was Arnia, one of four dogs that iHeartDogs reports were rescued from a dilapidated garage lot by Romanian animal rescue organization Howl of a Dog. The story describes Arnia as hunched on a pile of tiles when the rescuers approached.
Howl of a Dog’s Arnia profile links to the organization’s rescue video: Watch Arnia’s rescue video.
What condition was Arnia in when she was found?
iHeartDogs’ account describes Arnia as malnourished, thirsty, and anemic; its later retelling characterizes her condition as severe malnourishment, dehydration, and anemia. These are descriptions in the published story, not details supported here by independent veterinary records. The account estimates that she was two to three years old. The reviewed pages do not establish the exact rescue date.

The organization’s profile states: “UPDATE: ARNIA WAS ADOPTED.” It is an adoption update, not a current listing for a dog still seeking a home.

About the rescue organization
Howl of a Dog describes itself as a small nonprofit animal rescue organization in Romania. It says it works with abandoned, neglected, injured, and abused animals, providing needed care and seeking adoptive homes. Readers who want to help can check its support page for the options it currently lists.
The sources identify three other dogs as part of the rescue but do not establish their individual identities or outcomes, so Arnia’s account is best understood as one dog’s story rather than a full report on the group.
