Treble is the Wellington Humane Society’s featured Pet of the Week in a Sumner NewsCow report published October 6, 2026. The feature describes him as a playful, people-loving dog and says an approved adopter’s adoption fee was sponsored. His current availability and adoption terms have not been confirmed, so contact the shelter before making plans.
Meet Treble
According to Sumner NewsCow’s October 6, 2026 feature, Treble is a two-year-old, 57-pound black pit bull mix. The report says he arrived at the shelter with his siblings after they were taken to a pound while all were under a year old, and that he was initially unsure of the world.
The feature describes Treble as sweet, silly, kind-hearted, and enthusiastic about life. It says he enjoys meeting people, especially loves toys, and has spent time with volunteers, nursing-home residents, and school groups. These are descriptions in the published profile, not an independent behavioral or compatibility assessment.
What the feature says about adopting Treble
The report says an individual sponsored Treble’s adoption fee, making it waived for an approved applicant. It also mentions a general $10 discount for Pet of the Week during the feature week. The story does not clarify how those terms interact, or whether either remains in effect; ask Wellington Humane Society to confirm Treble’s current fee and any applicable offer.

- Address listed: 203 W. Hillside, Wellington, Kansas 67152.
