The brand’s comparison page also lists dry kibble and canned products, including Hi-Pro Plus Cat, Grain Free Fit Feline, Grain Free Healthy Skin & Coat, Grain Free Formula Shredded Chicken Dinner Cuts in Gravy, and Turkey and Salmon Dinner Pâté. Product names and recipes can change, so confirm the current packaging and formula before buying.
How to compare VICTOR formulas
Compare the specific recipe rather than relying on a line name or “premium” positioning. VICTOR’s comparison page lets shoppers look at food form, life stage, activity or special-diet labels, protein, fat, and calories. These figures are published by the manufacturer, not independent laboratory results from a review.

Life stage, activity, and calories
Fit Feline is labeled for all life stages and normal to reduced activity. Its listed energy values—3,619 kcal/kg and 371 kcal/cup—are manufacturer-published comparison figures. A cup measure may not reflect the amount your cat actually eats; follow the package directions and adjust with veterinary guidance as appropriate.
Ingredients and the company’s formulation claims
VICTOR says its formulas were developed by an in-house nutritionist, with third-party nutritionists involved in validation and research. Its FAQ says recipes are formulated to meet AAFCO regulations. These are company statements, not independent certification or evidence of a feeding trial for each formula. Check the nutritional adequacy statement on the exact package to see which life stage it covers.

The company identifies four components in its VPRO blend: L-carnitine, mineral complexes, prebiotics, and probiotics. VICTOR attributes weight-related, skin and coat, digestive, and immune-support functions to these ingredients. Those stated functions should not be read as guaranteed outcomes for an individual cat.
VICTOR’s FAQ says that Healthy Skin & Coat, Fit Feline, Shredded Chicken Dinner Cuts in Gravy, and Turkey and Salmon Dinner Pâté do not contain blood meal. If you are screening for a particular ingredient, check the current package list: recipes can change.

The FDA says consumers with a listed recalled product should stop feeding it, discard it in a secure container, and clean and disinfect items and surfaces that came into contact with the food. Follow the advisory’s instructions for current guidance.
What is known—and what is not—about VICTOR’s safety and quality
VICTOR says Mid America Pet Food owns the brand and makes its dry kibble at a company facility in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The company describes raw-material and finished-product testing and cites safety certifications earned in 2018. These are manufacturer statements about its processes.
The FDA advisory also notes that the agency issued Mid America Pet Food a warning letter on November 22, 2024, concerning violations found during facility inspections. That regulatory context is relevant when weighing company quality claims, but it does not establish that every current bag is unsafe. For a specific bag, rely on the product and date information in the current FDA notice.
The sources available for this review do not establish independent cat-specific palatability testing, feeding-trial results, or long-term health outcomes for VICTOR cat foods. The published nutrient comparisons can help with label-based choices, but they do not answer whether a particular cat will eat or thrive on a recipe.

How to decide whether a VICTOR formula fits your cat
- Choose the relevant format and life stage. Compare dry and canned options and check the nutritional adequacy statement on the current package.
- Compare the actual nutrient and calorie figures. Use the specific recipe’s label and manufacturer comparison information, rather than assuming products in one family are interchangeable.
- Check ingredients against your cat’s needs. Review the package ingredient list, especially if you are avoiding a specific ingredient or your cat has a diagnosed condition.
- Verify recall status. If you already have a bag, compare its exact product name, size, and best-by date with the FDA advisory.
- Ask your veterinarian about medical needs. A veterinarian can help assess an individual cat’s diet, particularly when illness or a therapeutic diet is involved.
