Cats.com identifies ViviPet Snowball as a tofu-based clumping litter. Its review describes it as lightweight and says it absorbed liquid quickly, formed clumps, and was easy enough to scoop. Some Chewy reviewers praised odor control. The available reports do not establish how consistently it controls urine or feces odor across households, litter-box setups, or cleaning routines.
Dust and tracking
Customer accounts conflict on dust: one reviewer described little dust while cats dug, while another reported substantial dust when sifting and irritation during cleanup. Tracking was also mentioned. The small number of reports cannot establish how dusty or track-prone the litter will be in your home.

Texture and cat acceptance
One customer said two of three cats disliked the litter, while other feedback was more positive about use and scooping. That is an anecdote, not a measure of overall cat acceptance. A cat’s response to a different texture can be individual, so avoid assuming every cat will take to it.

Is ViviPet tofu litter worth it?
On the reported performance alone, it may suit a household looking for a lightweight tofu litter that absorbs quickly and is reasonably easy to scoop. The softer-than-clay clumps, reports of tracking, conflicting dust accounts, and mixed cat acceptance matter if your priorities include hard clumps, low dust, minimal mess, or reliable acceptance. One customer also cited high price, but the evidence does not provide a current price or cost per usable quantity.
There is no controlled head-to-head test here to show that ViviPet outperforms another litter, and the customer reports are too limited to declare a universal winner. Consider the reported tradeoffs against your own cat’s response and your tolerance for dust and tracking; do not treat the review observations as a guarantee.

Can you still buy ViviPet?
As of its September 24, 2025 update, Cats.com said ViviPet’s website was no longer accessible and that the product appeared unavailable at Amazon, Chewy, or elsewhere online. The review also said there was no official discontinuation announcement. This makes availability uncertain as of that update, rather than proving the product or company has been discontinued. Check retailers for current inventory before relying on a listing or seeking a substitute.
How does it compare with other tofu litter?
VitaPet’s official New Zealand product page lists Purrfit Natural Tofu Cat Litter, described by VitaPet as made from soya bean and plant extracts, forming soft scoopable clumps, and including baking soda for odor control. This is a separate product and an example of the category, not evidence about ViviPet’s ingredients, disposal claims, or performance.
