Cats.com says the entry may be tight for larger cats and that no step is included. A weight range alone cannot establish whether a particular cat can turn around, posture, or enter comfortably.

Cats.com reports that the company describes the box as compatible with most clumping litters. The AUTOCLEAN-1 manual index likewise says most clumping cat litters are supported. The associated HM-CATBOX manual describes a maximum capacity of 6 L and granular litter types, but its exact applicability to every Cleanpethome retail revision is not established. Check the manual for the model being sold and use a litter it approves. Customer reports of crystal gel litter in the review do not establish that it is manufacturer-approved.
The reviewer found the unit could be disassembled for cleaning, but could not remove the sifting panel, making thorough cleaning more challenging. She also observed exposed electronics below the globe. The review reproduces customer comments that include both positive experiences and complaints about app setup, mess, odor, difficult deep cleaning, and device failures. Cats.com reports that the company told its reviewer the deodorizing function generates ozone using a device in the base. The review describes deodorizing as an app function, but does not establish all current controls or whether the feature can be disabled. It also does not measure how much ozone the box produces, when or where it is released, or the exposure of pets or people.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency warns: “When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and throat irritation.” The agency also says ozone at concentrations within public health standards has little potential to remove indoor air contaminants. Its guidance explains general ozone concerns; it is not a test of this litter box and cannot establish the device’s specific risk level. Before buying, check the current manual or ask the seller whether deodorizing can be turned off.
