According to Dee Michaels’s iHeartDogs article, the father and son brought the puppies home. The story says the man’s wife agreed to keep them, and the family placed them in a cardboard box lined with blankets and gave them goat milk. Those are details from this particular account, not general instructions for caring for a found puppy.

The article says the family named the puppies Yushan and Yuxi. It reports that Yuxi gave high fives on the third day and that both puppies went to a veterinary clinic on the fourth day. The story says tests for canine distemper and parvovirus were negative, and concludes that the puppies live with the family. It does not name the clinic or veterinarian or provide records or independently verifiable follow-up.

The account gives a vivid description and a specific timeline, but it does not identify the location, the temperature scale, the rescuers, or a rescue organization. Its discovery details, veterinary visit, test results, and reported outcome should therefore be understood as claims in the iHeartDogs story, not independently confirmed facts.

A second iHeartDogs page with a near-identical title was indexed with a March 4, 2025 date. That version adds details such as wrapping the puppies in coats and changes parts of the rescue description. Because no original rescuer interview or primary video source was identified, the later version should not be treated as separate confirmation or merged into the 2024 account as though both establish the same details. If you find a cold, wet, or distressed puppy
The story’s home setup and feeding choices are not a substitute for advice about a different animal. ASPCA guidance says to bring pets indoors when it is too cold, dry them after they come in, check and dry their feet and stomach, and clear snow from between their toes. If you find a stray puppy that appears injured or ill, contact local animal services, a shelter, or a veterinarian for guidance rather than relying on home treatment. Follow local shelter or animal-control instructions for handling a found animal; the ASPCA’s guidance on finding a lost pet includes steps for reporting and seeking help. Contact a veterinarian if you see signs of frostbite, as the ASPCA advises.
