Cats.com gives Wysong a B- (40 out of 60 points) in a review updated March 19, 2026. That is Cats.com’s assessment—not a regulatory grade, certification, or independent feeding-trial result. The review considers several product types and scores the brand across six categories; the right choice for an individual cat still depends on the specific formula, its label, and the cat’s health and life stage.

What is Wysong Uretic, and what other formats does the brand offer?
The Cats.com review identifies Uretic as a canned diet and discusses it alongside the dry Epigen and Vitality recipes. Wysong also describes its broader range as including dry, canned, and raw diets. The company groups its dry cat foods into Original, Optimal, and Epigen categories on its dry-food collection page. Wysong recommends rotating dry diets and says owners may supplement them at their discretion; that is the manufacturer’s feeding philosophy, not evidence that rotation is medically necessary.

How should you decide whether a Wysong formula fits your cat?
Compare the exact food and format you are considering rather than relying on a brand-level rating. Before buying, check the current package and seller listing for:
- The complete ingredient list and guaranteed analysis for that specific recipe.
- Calories and the serving information used for the food.
- The life-stage or maintenance statement on the label.
- Package size and the current seller listing; prices and stock can change.
- Whether the food is dry, canned, or raw, since format matters to how it fits your feeding plan.
Wysong’s product pages state that Epigen 90 and Vitality are formulated to meet the relevant AAFCO nutrient profiles for maintenance. That statement alone cannot determine whether a particular diet is appropriate for a cat with a medical condition or specific nutritional needs. Ask your veterinarian before choosing a therapeutic diet or changing food for a health reason.

How do you transition a cat to Wysong?
Wysong’s feeding guidance recommends beginning with about 10% of the new food mixed into the current diet, then gradually increasing its share to help avoid digestive disturbance. The company presents Vitality or Uretic as general starting points for adult cats; this is manufacturer guidance, not an individualized veterinary recommendation.
- Start with about 10% of the new food mixed with the cat’s present food, following Wysong’s guidance.
- Gradually increase the proportion of the new food rather than switching abruptly.
- Consult your veterinarian about an appropriate transition schedule if your cat has a health condition, is on a therapeutic diet, or has individual dietary needs.
Wysong’s pages and labels can change. Check the current manufacturer information and the package you are buying; the Cats.com review’s price score is not a current price quote.
