What the US Scooper Young Pro-X does
After a cat uses the box, the globe rolls so the sift filter separates clumps and waste from clean litter. CATLINK lists three modes: Auto, Manual and Empty. The product page does not list app control for the US Young Pro-X, so do not assume it can be monitored or operated through an app.

Dimensions, entrance and capacity
CATLINK’s US product page lists these measurements for the Young Pro-X:

There is a discrepancy within CATLINK’s own US materials: its FAQ gives overall dimensions of 27.95 × 23.62 × 27 in and an entrance 10.92 in high × 12.99 in wide. It also lists a 14.96 in litter-bed width and drawer internal dimensions of 5.9 × 13.98 × 13.98 in. These values may reflect a different presentation or version. Measure your intended location and confirm the dimensions for the exact unit being sold before buying.
The EU product page describes a regional Young with dimensions of 27.95 × 23.62 × 27 in, a 65 L globe and 13 L drawer. Those details should not be assumed to apply to every US Young Pro-X. CATLINK advises placing the EU model on a firm, level surface because unstable flooring may affect weight detection and weighing accuracy.

Will it fit your cat, including a kitten?
CATLINK’s FAQ states a suitable weight range of 3 lb 8 oz to 22 lb. The US product listing rounds the lower bound to 3.3 lb. For kittens, CATLINK says to use automatic mode only when the kitten is at least three months old and weighs at least 3 lb 8 oz; before meeting both thresholds, it recommends Manual mode. These are the manufacturer’s guidelines, not an independent assessment of suitability for an individual cat.

What safety features does CATLINK describe?
CATLINK says weight sensing detects a cat entering and stops the globe. The US product page names gravity and anti-pinch sensors and also describes a panel lock, a pyramid structure and a non-enclosed design. These are manufacturer descriptions of the product’s design; the available information does not establish independent safety testing or guarantee that risk is eliminated. Follow the manual’s operating and supervision guidance, especially when introducing a cat to an automated box.
Which litter works with the Young Pro-X?
CATLINK support says most clumping litter can be used if its particles pass through the sift filter. The company says the following types are not compatible with its sifting system:

CATLINK’s EU Young page also warns against pure tofu litter and long tofu strips because they may not fit through the filter. A small-particle clumping litter is the practical starting point, but check compatibility for the precise regional model you own.

How often does the waste drawer need emptying?
CATLINK says a single-cat household may receive a full-drawer reminder around 15 days, but its general recommendation is to empty and clean the drawer every 7–11 days, more often in hot weather. The interval depends on use, so treat the alert and schedule as company guidance rather than a guaranteed service interval.

For broader upkeep, CATLINK recommends replacing the litter completely, deep-cleaning the unit twice a year and replacing the carbon filter as needed if odor persists. Its US page also advertises odor removal “up to 90%” with the carbon filter and rechargeable odor purifier, but does not provide a test method, sample size or independent measurement. That figure is a vendor claim, not a verified performance result.
Does CATLINK SCOOPER require special waste bags?
No. CATLINK says any bag that fits the drawer can be used; its FAQ states, “No, CATLINK SCOOPER doesn’t necessitate any specific waste drawer bags or liners.” One roll of 20 bags is listed in the package, but proprietary liners are not required. CATLINK lists accessories and replacement parts for Young/Young Pro-X, including a ramp, activated-carbon filter, sift filter, globe liner, globe fence and globe holder. Confirm compatibility and availability for your exact model before ordering.
