Only Natural Pet’s PowerPate wet cat food gets mixed reviews: Cats.com rated the line C+ and raised concerns about plant ingredients and its carbohydrate estimates, while Cat Food Advisor gave three reviewed recipes four stars each and described their macronutrient levels as near average for wet food. The evidence here concerns Rabbit & Pork, Turkey & Chicken Dinner, and Chicken Dinner—the recipes covered in a Cats.com review published March 11, 2026. Check the current can label before buying; recipes, nutritional statements, prices, and availability can change.
What does this review cover?
This is a review of Only Natural Pet PowerPate, a wet cat-food line—not Feline Natural, a similarly named but separate brand. Cats.com’s March 11, 2026 review covered three recipes: Rabbit & Pork, Turkey & Chicken Dinner, and Chicken Dinner. Its reviewer said they researched the brand, ordered a variety pack at full retail price, and assessed nutrition, ingredients, smell, texture, and cat appeal. Those are the reviewer’s reported methods, not independent testing for this article.

The two independent assessments differ in emphasis. Cats.com gave the line 6/10 overall (C+); Cat Food Advisor rated each of the three recipes four stars. Their ratings are judgments, not a substitute for checking the recipe and nutritional statement on the can you plan to feed.

Is Only Natural Pet PowerPate nutritionally good?
The assessments hinge partly on how the reviewers interpret the recipes’ plant ingredients and estimated carbohydrate levels. Cats.com’s C+ rating reflects concerns about species-appropriateness and carbohydrates, while Cat Food Advisor describes the line’s protein, fat, and carbohydrate levels as near average compared with typical wet cat food. These are not identical verdicts, and the carbohydrate figures are estimates rather than guaranteed label values.

Separately, its reviewer-calculated estimates include 30.32% carbohydrates on a dry-matter basis and 24.88% carbohydrate on a caloric-weight basis. These calculated values are not manufacturer-guaranteed carbohydrate figures; Cats.com also cautions that automatically calculated nutrient-chart values may differ from body-text figures.
Cat Food Advisor gives its representative Turkey & Chicken analysis as 36.4% protein, 22.7% fat, and an estimated 32.9% carbohydrate on a dry-matter basis. Is PowerPate complete and balanced?
Cats.com says the products it reviewed were formulated for all life stages. The available evidence does not independently confirm the current nutritional-adequacy statement for each PowerPate recipe. Before feeding it as a main diet, read the current can’s nutritional-adequacy statement and confirm that it suits your cat’s life stage. Do not infer a claim for all recipes from one flavor or from a review.

What does “natural” mean on pet food?
“Natural” has a defined meaning under the Association of American Feed Control Officials’ (AAFCO) model regulations in most states that adopt them. AAFCO describes natural feed or ingredients as coming solely from plant, animal, or mined sources, whether unprocessed or subject to specified processes, and not produced by a chemically synthetic process, subject to stated allowances. FDA has not defined “natural” specifically for pet-food labeling; it applies the general requirement that labels not be false or misleading.
Natural is not a safety guarantee. AAFCO’s consumer guidance says: “There is no requirement or statement that natural feeds or ingredients are safer than those produced by a chemically synthetic process.”
How much does it cost, and where can you buy it?
Cats.com reported an average price of $0.70 per ounce and estimated a cost of up to $7 per day for a 10-pound cat following the brand’s recommended feeding amount in its March 11, 2026 review. Those are the reviewer’s dated figures, not a current quote or a cost guarantee; actual daily expense depends on the current price, package size, and feeding directions. The review said the food was available through the company website and Amazon at publication. Check current listings, recipe, pack size, and price before ordering.

Cats.com said it did not find a cat-food recall for the brand when it reviewed the line; Cat Food Advisor likewise reported no product recalls. These are the reviewers’ findings as of their checks, not a guarantee of current or future recall status. Check official recall notices for the latest information.
Cats.com also reports that Only Natural Pet uses third-party manufacturers based in Thailand and the United States and sources ingredients globally. That is secondary reporting from the review, not a manufacturer statement verified here.
