How to report suspected animal cruelty in Western Australia
If you have reasonable grounds to suspect serious animal harm, neglect or mistreatment, RSPCA WA accepts reports online and by phone. Its current guidance says reports are assessed; not every report leads to an investigation, and some matters may be referred to another agency. Inspectors may gather information and act within their powers under the Animal Welfare Act 2002. See RSPCA WA’s reporting guidance.
When reporting, RSPCA WA’s FAQ recommends giving the location, date and time, a description of the animal, and what you observed. RSPCA WA’s FAQ says reports are assessed to determine whether there is sufficient reason to suspect an offence.
