Cats.com’s profile, published August 29, 2026, says he eats and drinks normally and tells the story of a cat adopted in 2017 after he was the last of his siblings still waiting for a home.
How Yohji became Count Cat-ula
Yohji’s nickname comes from the striking look of his teeth and expression. Cats.com attributes his vampire-like fangs to an overbite; the profile does not describe a veterinary examination or establish a more specific diagnosis. It reports that he can eat and drink normally.

His adoption story is part of what makes the profile memorable: Yohji was adopted in 2017, after he was the last of his siblings waiting for adoption. The article presents him not just as a cat with an unusual face, but as an affectionate companion with a distinct personality.
What Yohji is like at home
The profile describes Yohji as fond of snuggling and affectionate, while also playful on his own terms. His antics include nighttime activity, zoomies, and pouncing on feet beneath blankets. He also shreds paper towel rolls.

Are Yohji’s teeth painful?
Cats.com says Yohji eats and drinks normally, but that observation is not the same as a veterinary assessment. The profile does not establish whether his overbite causes pain or describe an examination, so it cannot answer that question medically. A cat’s individual dental health is best assessed by a veterinarian rather than inferred from appearance alone.

- Suitable for all ages.
What the profile says about adopting cats with distinctive faces
The article notes that exaggerated facial features such as squished faces and large eyes can be associated with breathing, dental, and eye issues. It recommends that people drawn to cats with these features consider adoption through a rescue or shelter rather than purchasing from a breeder. This is the profile’s welfare advice, not an independently verified assessment of every cat with a distinctive face.

Yohji’s story is specific to him: his overbite gives him an unmistakable look, and the article reports that he eats and drinks normally. It should not be treated as evidence that other cats with similar features will have the same health or care experience.
