A California homeowner who booked a Wag sitter to care for her two dogs while she travelled said a living-room camera captured the sitter with a male visitor and later lying naked on the sofa. A May 21, 2019 secondary report said Wag described the conduct as “unacceptable” and suspended the sitter. The report does not establish that sex occurred in the bedrooms, and the sitter denied that it did.
What the report says happened
A May 21, 2019 report by Ladun Liadi’s Blog identified the homeowner as Rosie Brown and the sitter as Casey Brengle. Brown reportedly booked Brengle through Wag to care for her dogs, Penny and Daisy, during a four-day trip to Louisiana for a wedding.

According to that secondary report, Brown reviewed footage from a living-room camera. It said the footage showed Brengle with a male visitor, including kissing or passionate behavior, and later lying naked on the sofa. The article also said they went into bedrooms. That account describes what the report said the footage showed; it does not independently establish what happened inside the bedrooms.

What the sitter said—and what remains unconfirmed
The secondary report attributed to Brengle a denial that she had sex in the bedrooms. In response to a question about that, she was quoted as saying, “It’s okay that she believes that, that’s not what was going on.” The report also attributed this explanation for her nudity: “As I’ve told you, I don’t like wearing clothes.”

The report’s description of the conduct as “getting romantic” should not be read as proof that sex occurred. The distinction is important: the article described footage and the homeowner’s interpretation, while also reporting the sitter’s denial. The original ABC7 San Francisco coverage was identified in search results, but the account here relies on the accessible secondary retelling.
Wag’s reported response
Ladun Liadi’s Blog reported that Wag called the behavior “unacceptable,” suspended Brengle, and offered to pay for cleaning and a locksmith. “Suspended” is the outcome reported in that 2019 account; it does not establish Brengle’s current account status or any later employment outcome.

What pet owners can take from the incident
The report does not show that a camera prevents misconduct or establish that this incident reflects a broader pattern. For owners considering a camera during a pet-care visit, it can provide a way to check in on a pet and review activity in the area it covers. It cannot show what happens outside its view, and a recording should be treated as evidence of only what it actually captures.
