Wild used a speargun to gently poke the fish to see whether it would move. It snapped, startling the people with him. One unnamed bystander reacted, “That is psycho, that is the creepiest looking thing I have ever seen.” Another said, “Oh my god, Oh my god, that’s going to haunt me in my sleep tonight.” The word “psycho” captures a bystander’s alarm; it is not a scientific description of the fish.
