What the awards announcement said about pet-friendly workplaces
The announcement attributed two workplace figures to people2people Recruitment’s 2024 Dogs at Work Survey: 90 per cent of pet owners said they would rather work for a pet-friendly office, and 75 per cent of workplaces reportedly saw employee turnover improve after becoming pet-friendly. The survey’s sampling, question wording, and methodology were not provided in the cited coverage, so the figures should be read as reported survey findings. The turnover figure does not, by itself, establish that pet-friendly policies caused the improvement.
In the 360PR announcement, people2people Recruitment Managing Director Catherine Kennedy said: “The incredible benefits that dogs bring to our lives and mental well-being are truly extraordinary, and their importance has become even more evident in recent years as remote work has surged.”
